Project 2 - Reimagining History

I did not know how I planned on tackling this project until I found a photo album full of photos of my great grandmother. I was still unsure but I knew that these photographs would be a good place to start so i took them all out of the book and took a few shots of them spread out on my kitchen table. These shots came out good but are kind of lacking in variety and aren't the most interesting. Then, i found photographs of her old houses and decided to use a map to show where the houses were located, one in Halifax, Nova Scotia and the other in Massachusetts. I enjoyed the idea of these photos more than i actually enjoyed the finished product because it doesn't really read as I intended it to. Finally, a few days before the project was due I came up with my final and strongest idea, to composite my great grandmother in to modern scenes at my house, a place she was never around to visit. These photographs could use some more work to make them more believable but nevertheless i feel as if they were my strongest of this project and If i were to do it over again I would definitely do more composites like those.
